Maple Drizzle Murder (A Milly Pepper Mystery Book 1)Maple Drizzle Murder by Rosie A. Point
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rosie A. Point really created a page turning quick read for cozy lovers. Maple Drizzle Murder is a cute , easy to read cozy. Great way to pass time on a rainy day.

Milly is trying to build a new life for herself after her father passes and she is doing this with her fluffy bunny Waffle. A bunny! What?!? Ok I am so game to read about a bunny sidekick. During the book, I was wishing I had my own little cuddly bunny to go for walks with. If you have a few hours to snuggle up and read, I recommend you grab a copy of this book for yourself.

Off Grid Living

Off Grid Living for Beginners: Step-by-Step Guide From Planning To Building a Homestead To Living Off The Land and Become Self SufficientOff Grid Living for Beginners: Step-by-Step Guide From Planning To Building a Homestead To Living Off The Land and Become Self Sufficient by Emma Nora
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book is a great starting point for anyone wanting and considering living off grid. When I first began reading the book I was very impressed with the amount of information that the author had provided. It is such a great resource for any person with a desire to live this type of lifestyle. The book is laid out so each chapter is a stand alone chapter. She explains to the
reader the many things that need to be considered. The author recaps each chapter at the end for you as well before moving on to the next chapter.

My husband and I have been in the process of going off-grid now for over 3 years. There is so much that goes into an endeavor such as this. You must do your research. I feel this book is a great place to start. Even with all of our research, I felt I still was able to gain great info from this book.

I do feel the book lacked illustrations. I think having a few throughout the book showing some of the items the author was discussing would really help with the visualization of many of the parts a person needs to take into account while pondering this change.

I give this book 3.5 stars.

The Death of the Party (Saddle Creek Cozy Mysteries, #1)The Death of the Party by Maggie Aldrich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Maggie Aldrich will have you laughing till your side hurts all while keeping you on the edge of your seat in this action-packed, page turning small town cozy mystery!

Small town murder of former hometown jock.
Saddle Creek is a small town with less than 7000 residents. Former hometown jock throws his yearly party trying to reclaim his youth.

OK, being from a small town myself I felt as if I was there right alongside the characters in the book! Is that not like most small towns? A jock from high school not ever wanting to grow up ( I know you are picturing the one from your hometown right now, am I correct).
This book was so entertaining with its well established characters. I truly found it hard to put this book down and I finished it in one day! I feel as though I was able to bond with the town folk in Saddle Creek and I am eagerly waiting for the next book to come out so I can continue reading about my new found “friends”.
